Facility for Quality Assurance of products like food grains, cereal, pulses, spices, oils & fats, organic food, honey, processed food products and water can be tested in this laboratory. Besides food products, rural chemical based products such as non-edible oil, toilet & laundry soaps and detergents can also be tested in this lab. A separate instrumentation lab has also been established under this section for the determination of metals (heavy metals), pesticides, food flavours, essential oils, fats, sugars, vitamins, proteins, food preservatives, drugs, antibiotics, amino acids, Organic acids etc. in various products.
